Meet Jess Hands
Hi! I’m Jess. Mom of two and school psychologist turned embroidery enthusiast. I taught myself to embroider while on maternity leave with my youngest, when I was in desperate need of something that was just for me. I think so many of us—especially women—stretch ourselves so thin that we lose sight of the hobbies and passions that bring us joy.
Embroidery became that space for me. A chance to unplug, put on an audiobook or music, and create something with my hands.
Stitched by Hands started as a way to create keepsake pieces for little ones (which I still love doing), but it has grown into something more—a way to help others slow down and reconnect with creativity.
Through my Stitch & Sip classes, I teach embroidery in a way that feels approachable, supportive, and actually doable—even if you’ve never picked up a needle before. I learned through YouTube so you don’t have to!
My classes offer real-time guidance and hands-on support, so you leave with the skills and confidence to keep creating on your own.
Even if embroidery isn’t your thing, I hope my classes spark something—whether that’s trying a new hobby or rediscovering one you’ve put down for a while.
